Podiums ("Podiums," "we," "us," or "our") is a verified race results platform that imports chip times from official timing companies and presents them as authenticated public athlete profiles. Questions about these terms should be directed to contact@podiums.run.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Podiums. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain materially false information or that are used in violation of these terms.
Podiums connects to third-party timing companies and race registration platforms (such as RunSignup, ChronoTrack, and Athlinks) to retrieve race results associated with your email address. We display those results on your public athlete profile, detect personal records (PRs), and provide tools for sharing your results.
Podiums reports what the timing source reports. We do not independently adjudicate disputes about race times, placements, or results. If you believe a result imported to your profile is incorrect, the authoritative source is the timing company that produced the result. You may contact us to flag an issue, and we will work with you to correct or remove inaccurate data where possible.
Podiums is not a fitness tracker. We do not record GPS routes, training activity, or health metrics. Race results data (finish times, distances, placements) is athletic performance data, not health data in a clinical sense. We do not share your data with health insurers or healthcare providers.
When you connect a timing source, you authorize Podiums to query that platform's API using your registered email address to retrieve your race history. You represent that:
Podiums does not receive or store your passwords for third-party platforms. Connecting a timing source does not transfer any rights in that platform's data to you beyond what that platform's own terms permit.
You may disconnect a timing source at any time in Settings. Disconnecting stops future syncs but does not automatically delete results already imported. To delete imported results, use the account deletion flow or contact us.
Results imported from a connected timing source are marked Verified and attributed to that source. Results you enter manually are marked Unverified until a connected timing source confirms the same result. Podiums makes no representations about manually entered results.
The Verified label means: we successfully retrieved this result from the attributed timing platform and matched it to your account. It does not mean Podiums independently audited the race or the timing company's operations.
You may provide profile information (display name, bio, location, club, photo) and manually enter race results. You retain ownership of content you create. By submitting it, you grant Podiums a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute it as part of your public profile and the platform's features (leaderboards, feeds, social sharing).
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Your Podiums profile at podiums.run/@yourhandle is publicly accessible by default, including to search engines. By creating an account and adding race results, you consent to this public display. If you do not want your race results to be publicly visible, do not create an account or delete your account to remove your profile.
Other users of the platform may follow you, appear alongside you on leaderboards, and see your results in their feed. This is a core function of the platform. If you find another user's behavior toward you harassing or abusive, contact us at contact@podiums.run.
The Podiums name, logo, and the platform's code, design, and features are owned by Podiums and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or reproduce our platform's design without written permission.
Race results data (times, placements, distances) imported from timing companies is factual and not independently copyrightable. The presentation and features Podiums builds around that data are our intellectual property.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the app, or by emailing contact@podiums.run. Upon deletion:
Participation in running events involves physical risk. Nothing in Podiums constitutes training advice, medical advice, or an endorsement of any race or event.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Podiums and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to: incorrect or missing race results, account suspension, data loss, or reliance on any information displayed on the platform.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Podiums in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) $50 USD.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Podiums and its operators from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms, your content, or your conduct on the platform.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Podiums after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not accept updated terms, you may delete your account before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at contact@podiums.run and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Podiums regarding the platform. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to do so in the future. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our written consent.
